The online graduate certificate in Child Welfare Practice provides you with the knowledge and skills to practice in the fields of child welfare and children’s mental health. You'll receive instruction in multidimensional assessment and interviewing techniques, intervention and referral planning processes, historical and current child welfare practice and policy, the psychological impact of childhood trauma, and resilience-based interventions for children and families.

Offering the first master of social work (MSW) of its kind in the country, FSU has the reputation and the experience to create a student-centered online environment where you’ll get to know your peers, faculty, and professional staff. You’ll go through a widely recognized program and come out a career-ready professional capable of working in a number of areas. We offer both a traditional online MSW program (61 credit hours) and an advanced standing MSW program (39 credit hours). 

The Leadership in Executive and Administrative Development (LEAD) certificate program offers students an education in leadership theories and practices while providing leadership experience. In the program, you'll develop the skills you need for middle- and executive-level positions in social service organizations. An in-depth curriculum that emphasizes leadership, decision-making, client-centered management, team building, negotiating, budget and finance, and the successful management of grants will help prepare you for successful management of social service agencies.
