The online graduate certificate in Child Welfare Practice provides you with the knowledge and skills to practice in the fields of child welfare and children’s mental health. You'll receive instruction in multidimensional assessment and interviewing techniques, intervention and referral planning processes, historical and current child welfare practice and policy, the psychological impact of childhood trauma, and resilience-based interventions for children and families.

If you have child welfare practice experience and would like to enhance your skills by completing coursework in the field, the college offers a Child Welfare Practice Certificate for Professionals. You are eligible to enroll in the required courses as a non-degree-seeking or special student.
