The Measurement and Statistics program prepares you to work with data and perform educational measurements using statistical and measurement tools. These measurements can deliver critical information about the performance of schools, students, and teachers. The program prepares leaders in educational research to serve in professional positions related to collecting, analyzing, and interpreting educational statistics. While the degree provides a theoretical and research background, it emphasizes building preliminary skills in educational measurement theory, statistical analysis, and evaluation. The degree also complements a higher degree in a related discipline, such as Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, Educational Psychology, or Instructional Systems & Learning Technologies.

The Measurement & Statistics program is one of seven FSU online master’s in education programs ranked No. 28 among public institutions, No. 30 among all institutions, and No. 16 in the nation for veterans by U.S. News & World Report in 2024.
