With a history that spans more than 70 years, the Department of Art Education believes in the intrinsic value of art as a catalyst for social change. The online master’s in Art Education focuses on developing a social justice approach to art education, across theory, curriculum, and practice. You’ll gain a comprehensive knowledge of art education while preparing to undertake research in the field. Courses are taught by FSU faculty with the rigor you expect from an FSU graduate program. Though the online master’s program doesn't provide certification, it is an ideal option for certified teachers, community or museum art educators, educators looking to move into the field of art education, or educators pursuing an alternative track toward certification.
