The online graduate certificate in Early Childhood Special Education prepares you to work with young children with developmental delays or disabilities to help optimize their growth and development. You'll gain expertise in identifying typical and atypical child development, partnering with families, and assessing children. The certificate is particularly suited to help early childhood teachers, behavior therapists, speech language pathologists, childcare providers, and special educators better understand how to meet the unique needs of children within the context of their families and caregivers. If you're a certified teacher completing the certificate, you'll be able to earn the Florida Department of Education’s Pre-Kindergarten Disabilities Endorsement.
