The nursing doctoral program is designed to prepare you for a career as a nurse scientist. The research-intensive program aims to develop the next generation of nurse scientists in research, practice, and education settings. In this career, you can conduct research, contribute to disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge in nursing and healthcare, and disseminate research findings through scholarly publications and presentations. The program provides you with access to cutting-edge facilities and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with noted FSU researchers. College of Nursing faculty are world-renowned experts in evidence-based research practices and the distribution of scholarly works. As part of the program, you’ll visit the Tallahassee campus for summer intensive sessions that include extensive class work, presentations, and occasions for faculty and student contact.
