The Family Nurse Practitioner certificate program focuses on the specialty of advanced practice family nursing. The program is open to registered nurses who hold at least a master’s degree in nursing and have completed the following graduate-level courses prior to starting the program: Advanced Health Assessment, Advanced Pathophysiology, and Advanced Pharmacology. Using a multi-theoretical model to examine issues relevant to family practice, the program prepares you to provide expert care to family practice patients. You’ll experience online classwork, laboratory work, and clinical rotations in a family practice setting. While the program is online, most courses have a synchronous component.
